In light of the Prince and Karamazov, I find this fascinating because it seems to represent his usual (later) sentiment/mission but on a much smaller scale. That is so much more difficult to accomplish (and I'm not sure he succeeds, necessarily) but the effort is admirable. I think this is mostly of interest to his fans, and not to casual readers. I'm not sure I would buy it if I hadn't already read so much of his work.
