The Belief in a Just World: A Fundamental Delusion

1919: Volume Two of the U.S.A. Trilogy

1919 - John Dos Passos, E.L. Doctorow That's a 7/10. Significantly better than the first one. Here his characters actually connect! Amazing! Writing a book with characters that know each other! On the whole it is much improved, though there are still major problems (he's always introducing people at the end). But yes, he matches his ability to his ambition a lot better this time round. It's still not a masterpiece, but I actually liked this version.
